Vibrant Imagery is Open for Business!

It's been tried a couple of times now. My little boutique business, Vibrant Imagery going into business full-time, in fact, it's only been a few months since the last time I tried. But often, I get swept up by other companies needing Graphic Designers, and a steady paycheck always sounds too good to pass up. I try to keep Vibrant going as much as possible as a side gig, but of course, it's always hard when you have full-time work with your job. Well, yesterday afternoon, I was blindsidedly let go by the company I was working for. Usually, I'd be sad, scared and immediately asking myself, "What should I do next?" We cannot afford to live off of one income.

I want to tell you a story about yesterday that I found very interesting. My husband had taken the day off of work to get some stuff done around the house... and maybe spend a little time with me. My parents had taken the boys Thursday overnight since they didn't have school on Friday. So we just kind of lazed around in bed until he told me to get up and get dressed. "Uhhh... why??" "Let's go to breakfast!" He says. I never pass up an opportunity to have a yummy breakfast. So we walked over to our favorite restaurant in town (who happens to also be a Vibrant client). We sat down and we reviewed the menus I had created for them to find out what we wanted to eat. Which turned into a discussion on what we needed to accomplish to legitimately make Vibrant Imagery into a full-fledged full-time business with a stable income. If it were just me, it would have been done a long time ago - but I have a very apprehensive husband who needs a stable grounding. Plus, I need to help support my children. Just as I was telling Anthony that every time I take on these stable jobs and become an employee to someone else, I get an abundance of work flowing in for Vibrant projects, and that I just can't keep up with everything... Our waitress who is the owner's daughter told us that the bill was on the house to thank me for the work I do and will be doing for them! Extremely appreciative, I immediately looked to Anthony to say, "I told you this is what's meant to be..." But I didn't have to. He already knew, and he was laughing because of it.

About 2 hours later, after working on some projects for my employer, I was asked to join in on a Skype call with them. I was then informed that I was being let go and that apparently, unemployment was not going to be an option... One side of me was a little nervous, because we are not prepared, financially, to go fully freelance. But the other side was kind of relieved and wondering if I was being like PUSHED into Vibrant Imagery from above. I feel like being let go is probably a blessing in disguise and really REALLY good things are coming.

I would like to invite you to share Vibrant Imagery with anyone you know who may need Graphic Design services. I really love working with small businesses and network marketers for all of their marketing and branding needs, but I love doing personal projects such as invitations, custom cards and custom t-shirt designs as well! Also, if I have worked for you in the past, I would love if you would take a moment to go to my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/vibrantimagery and leave me a review!
